Right from the Start was first put into action more than 25 years ago. The version here was revised in 2019. It has proven to be very useful, helping early level students understand how simple finger patterns of whole-steps and half-steps combine to make scales, while they are also learning some good ways to practice. I believe that young students like it because it feels “grown up” to work on, very different from their other method books.
It is linked here in versions for both violin and viola.
