Two octave scales and arpeggios are sometimes neglected, but they are challenging and rewarding to practice. They are often ideal for focus on various bow strokes, tone production, intonation, and shifting. Single-note arpeggios in two octaves are not a part of the Flesch System. However I suggest following a modified progression derived from Flesch’s approach to 3 Octave arpeggios. I differ by separating major and minor keys for clarity, allowing for the addition of augmented arpeggios in positions that seem logical. As with the 3 octave progression, an intrepid practicer might try playing through the entire circle of fifths via these arpeggiated chord progressions. Simple major and minor scales and arpeggios are included for all keys in Connecting Some Dots.
